1. What we collect

We collect the information you choose to provide through AutoSocial, including account details, email address, display information, vehicle profile information, photos, messages, meetup and group activity, wallet-related records, support communications, and app preferences.

2. Location data

If you choose to provide location data, AutoSocial may use it to support nearby profiles, groups, meetups, maps, route tools, check-in features, and other location-based functions. You can update or remove your saved location details inside the app, although some features may become limited if location is not available.

3. How we use your data

We use personal information to operate and improve AutoSocial, including for authentication, profiles, messaging, matching, meetups, groups, moderation, safety, push notifications, payments, account support, abuse prevention, and service administration.

4. Messages, photos, and community content

Content you upload, publish, or send through the app may be stored and processed so the service can display it to you and permitted users, support messaging and group features, enforce platform rules, review reports, investigate misuse, and maintain platform safety.

5. Notifications and device information

If you enable notifications, we may process device, token, subscription, or platform information needed to deliver push notifications and manage notification preferences. This may include device or app metadata necessary for reliable delivery and account security.

6. Payments and subscriptions

If you purchase paid features, wallet credits, subscriptions, or related services, billing-related records may be stored to manage transactions, renewals, cancellations, entitlements, fraud prevention, accounting, and account history. Payment processing may involve third-party providers such as Apple or Stripe, depending on the purchase flow used.

7. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where reasonably necessary to operate the app, process payments, provide hosting or infrastructure, deliver notifications, support safety and moderation, respond to legal obligations, or protect users, rights, and platform integrity.

8. Third-party services and processors

AutoSocial may rely on third-party services to support hosting, authentication, file storage, maps and geolocation, push notifications, analytics, crash or performance monitoring, and payment processing. Those providers may process information on our behalf for service delivery and operational purposes.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain safety, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and support business records. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

10. Account deletion and retention after deletion

You can request deletion of your account from the Account page in the app or by contacting contact@autosocial.com.au. When processed, associated account data is removed or de-identified according to how the service operates. Some limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, security, moderation, or dispute-handling purposes.

11. Your choices

You can edit your account details, profile information, uploaded media, and certain in-app preferences at any time. You may also disable notifications through your device or app settings and stop using the service whenever you choose.

12. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information used by AutoSocial, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your account, devices, and login methods.

13. Children and safety

AutoSocial does not permit unlawful exploitative content and maintains zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, grooming, or sexual exploitation. We may remove content, restrict access, and report unlawful activity where required.

14. Updates to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of AutoSocial after an updated version is published means the revised policy applies.
